Let's try something new.
This years Met Gala's theme was "Fashion in an Age of Technology", so of course the gorgeous women on the red carpet pulled no punches when it came to their style. Metallics, glitter and even body armor were seen. I have chosen some of my favourite celebrities, interesting looks and even a couple that personally make me cringe.

So lets get to it!
Wearing a deep plunge black gown designed by Coach 1941. I really like this look on her, especially the metallic highlights accentuating her waist. She looks feminine yet edgy. She keeps her hair and makeup simple yet pretty.
If you look closely you can see that the metallic fabric is actually sheer and underneath she has this floral pattern, which is thankfully not too overbearing and works with the dress.
Emily Blunt
This is the most glamorous baby bump I have ever seen! Instead of trying to hide her bump like some women chose to do on these night, Blunt chooses instead a more form fitting blue gown. She looks gorgeous and this is definitely one of my most favorite looks from this years Met Gala.
Her dress is by Michael Kors, with accesoriesed with Forevermark diamonds. Oh my...
Emma Roberts
Very Pretty. I love the ombre look she has going on behind the geometric patterns on her dress. I'm not sure about the smokey eye look but it does give the outfit an edgy look so that is cool.
The dress is a boho-chic Tory Burch creation. Gives me a bit of a coachella actually, not that I've been.
Emma Watson
One word: SLAY. Emma Watson as always looks classy, beautiful and like a strong woman. The best thing about this outfit is its actually more of a pantsuit. A corset top and pants with an over skirt. Her pants are so long you cannot see her shoes, but I am not mad about that.
She looks stunning! Her skirt actually reminds me a bit of the armor knights have over their hips at times. This is a Calvin Klein ensemble.
Freida Pinto
I do not actually know this celebrity but I do like the simplicity of her dress. A classic white dress with Swarovski design by Tory Burch.
I am not completely sold on the crystal pattern on the front of the dress, if the part at her waist went the whole way around, like a belt, I believe I would like this dress even more.
Katy Perry
Looking like a queen! This gorgeous dress is literally decorated with dozens of gold keys. The sleek black beehive hair-do and the Gothic makeup (with Purple eyeliner!) make this look memorable.
Her dress is by Prada and she looks amazing in it, almost with an Alice in Wonderland vibe, she looks like a queen.BTW she actually had a Tamagotchi attached to her belt. Enough said.
La La Anthony
Wow, those shoulders on that dress! She is looking fierce. The red and black really suit Anthony here. Although, the very dramatic plunge in the front is daring, the light here is kind of harsh on the contours of her chest, making it look like if she had makeup contouring done, it was not blended enough. The lines look kind of harsh, but otherwise she looks amazing and this is probably just due to the lighting here.
Her dress is by Public School.
Maria Sharapova
Although this dress kind of confuses me with its shape and how it actually manages to stay up, I sort of like the off the shoulder idea with a tight neckline. Also, the incredibly high slit in the side showcases her long legs which is part daring and part amazing.
Her slip dress is by Juan Carlos Obando.
NICKI! When did you become a Dominatrix?! This is such a change from a few years ago when Nicki Minaj was a fluorescent eye-popping star. Now, just as eye-popping in this sheer strappy dress by Moschino. Looking fierce as usual with the Rouge-esque white highlight in her dark hair.
I simply love this dress, adequately daring, and Nicki did not disappoint at the Met Gala in my opinion.
Taylor Swift
Good lord Swift looked good at the Met Gala. With the bleached hair, dark lip, gorgeous silver dress and those killer heels? Hot!
This is hands down, my favourite look from the Gala, Swift is wearing a louis Vuitton mini-dress with cut-outs and a snakeskin design. A lot of critics have discussed her look, I happen to think she got the theme of the Gala perfectly.
Nina Dobrev
Looking like an absolute princess, Dobrev looks regal, beautiful and slightly sweet. Her dress is a custom Michael Kors creation, and although you cannot see it in this picture, it also is backless/keyhole style. Absolutely stunning.
The gold shade perfectly suits her complexion. She just looks so beautiful and elegant.
Stacy Martin
Let's be honest, the first thing I thought when I saw this picture was "Is she wearing wrapping paper?". The answer is of course no, however flattering the cut of the dress is, I just cannot get past the fabric...
She looks nice, I just don't like the dress.
Zoe Kravitz
Kravitz, you confuse me. I am not entirely sure about this look, the mask matches the shoes though so A+ on accessorizing. In all reality this dress is a short strapless number with a MASSIVE bow on the back.
Very daring so points for that! The dress is a Valentino creation. I do like that mask...
Overall there were some really interesting looks at this years' Met Gala. Some scandalous, some delicate, some positively regal.
And After that long post...
