PETS
Ever thought of the concept of pets? You are completely different species, do not even speak the same language yet you house them, feed them, care for them when they are sick and even make best friends in some cases. Take dogs for example...
To understand dogs, you need to pay attention to their body language, anyone who has owned an aggressive dog knows that a wagging tail does not mean a happy puppy. My immediate family has owned two rottweilers; the first one grew up with small children and was the same age as my little brother, he was the sweetest large dog you could ever meet, he even let me and my friend ride on his back before we got told off by my mum.
As you can see, he was a beautiful old boy. We have also had a toy poodle for about 11 years now, she would't stay still for any picture! I can say she is black and does NOT like staying clean. Her name is Scratchy and she is insane...
Tiny and vicious she is, but very cuddly.
Back to Timmy, he was so funny at times. He could quite easily jump the fence if he wanted to, but he didn't. He prefered just to say hello and scare the people walking past.
This is Kublai, our current Rottie |
This picture is from when he was still a puppy, maybe a year old and he was feeling a little poorly. We came outside that day and he was curled up in one of our outside chairs (Yes, that is a green screen), so we grabbed his favourite blanket and gave him a pillow.
He is now about 3 (next week! yay!! Scratchy's Birthday is Wednesday :O ) These three dogs are the most memorable to me as any other dogs we have had, I can barely remember and wasn't able to form the emotional attachment to them like these three.
We also have had guinea pigs (Cavies as they are more accurately called as they are neither pigs nor from Guinea), a rabbit, a bunch of turtles, and our fair share of budgies. I currently have a budgie that hates me unless he wants food. He is blue, his name is Caspar and if I so much as breathe the wrong way? He yells at me.
